At San Francisco, we help Finnish and other New Nordic growth companies to increase awareness and build credibility through earned media coverage. Our mission is to help uncover our clients’ true purpose, highlight their positive impact, and tell their story to the world via personal and effective media relations.
Now we’re looking for a communications professional to join our international team working in Helsinki, Finland.
What will you be doing?
Helping our clients to tell their newsworthy stories to the world and the media.
Writing long-form content that dives deeper into our clients’ industries and tech applications, often explaining complex concepts in a simple and clear way.
Developing and maintaining relationships with journalists and the media.
Workshopping with our clients to dig out key themes, points of interest, and credibility factors.
Working together with the whole team to attract the best clients and talent.
Taking on project and client responsibilities from day one.
Some of the key things we are looking for:
You speak and write native level English – no Finnish required.
You love writing and have excellent communication skills.
You love tech and have previous experience writing about technology.
You have great organizational skills and are able to balance multiple client cases simultaneously.
Readiness to take the lead and work things out as you go along in a fast-paced, fast-growth environment.
A practical understanding of social media, and the ability to write marketing messages that resonate with our audience.
Interest and familiarity with the Nordic startup/small-to-medium business scene.
You’ve studied at university (Master’s degree a plus), and you’re hungry to learn more all the time.
